Ingredients
- 4 Pieces : Chicken breasts
- 1 Cup : Mayonnaise
- ½ cup : Parmesan cheese (grated)
- 1 teaspoon : Garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon : Onion powder
- ½ teaspoon : Salt
- ½ teaspoon : Black pepper
- ½teaspoon : Optional: Paprika
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare Baking Dish: Lightly grease a baking dish with cooking spray or a little oil to prevent sticking.
Mix Ingredients: In a medium-sized bowl, combine 1 cup of mayonnaise, 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of paprika. Mix well to form a creamy mixture.
Prepare Chicken: Pat dry 4-6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts with paper towels. Season them with salt and pepper on both sides.
Coat Chicken: Spread the prepared mayonnaise mixture evenly over each chicken breast, covering them entirely.
Add Topping (Optional): Sprinkle additional Parmesan cheese and a dash of paprika on top for extra flavor and a golden crust.
Bake: Place the coated chicken breasts into the greased baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C) and the top is golden brown.
Broil (Optional): For a crispier top, broil the chicken on high for 2-3 minutes after baking. Watch closely to avoid burning.
Rest and Serve: Remove the dish from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
- Chicken Options:
This recipe works best with boneless, skinless chicken breasts, but you can also use chicken thighs for a juicier result. Adjust the cooking time slightly for thighs as they may take longer to cook.If your chicken breasts are thick, consider slicing them in half lengthwise or pounding them to an even thickness for more uniform cooking.
- Mayonnaise Substitute:
For a lighter option, use Greek yogurt or a mix of Greek yogurt and mayonnaise for the coating.
- Cheese Variations:
While Parmesan cheese adds the classic flavor, you can experiment with shredded mozzarella, cheddar, or Asiago cheese for a different twist.
- Spice it Up:
Add a pinch of cayenne pepper, crushed red pepper flakes, or a dash of hot sauce to the mixture for a spicy kick.
